Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance
By using fixGDPR (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please stop using the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.
2. What fixGDPR does
fixGDPR scans publicly accessible websites for common GDPR compliance indicators including SSL certificates, privacy policy links, cookie consent mechanisms, form consent checkboxes, and more. Scans are based on static HTML analysis and may not detect all compliance issues, especially on JavaScript-heavy (SPA) sites.
3. Not legal advice
Scan results and fix suggestions are for informational purposes only. A passing score does not guarantee legal compliance. fixGDPR makes no warranties that following our suggestions will result in GDPR compliance or prevent regulatory action. Always consult a qualified lawyer before making compliance decisions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scan websites you do not own or have permission to audit
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the scanning service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Circumvent rate limits or access controls
- Resell or redistribute scan results without permission
5. Accounts and billing
- Free accounts may run up to 3 scans per hour
- Pro and Agency subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
- Cancel anytime — access continues until end of billing period
- Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used any paid features
6. Intellectual property
The fixGDPR platform, code, design, and fix templates are our intellectual property. Scan reports generated for your site belong to you. You may not copy or redistribute the fix templates for commercial purposes.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, fixGDPR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including any GDPR fines or regulatory penalties.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
